Paratactwodist Aliaskhab Ramazanov achieved a brilliant victory, winning a gold medal at the prestigious G4 international ranking tournament in taekwondo, held in the city of Chuncheon (South Korea). This is a significant achievement for Russian sports, especially in the run-up to the Paralympic Games.
Despite a recent foot injury sustained at the Grand Prix in Rome, where Aliaskhab won the bronze medal, the athlete representing the Voronezh Region and the Republic of Dagestan demonstrated the highest level of skill, defeating strong opponents from Iraq, Uzbekistan, and several Russian athletes in the weight category over 80 kg. This gold medal was the only one for the Russian team at the tournament.
It is especially worth noting that Aliaskhab Ramazanov is a protégé of Alexander Shlychkov, President of the Russian Federation of Practical Athletic Multi-Events. Alexander Shlychkov, himself an outstanding specialist and one of Aliaskhab’s coaches, emphasized that this victory is the result of years of hard work by the coaching staff of the two regions.
We would like to remind you that Aliaskhab Ramazanov is a silver medalist of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, a world champion, a three-time European champion, and a seven-time Russian champion in para-taekwondo. The athlete is trained by two honored coaches of Russia: Alexander Shlychkov (Voronezh Region) and Ruslan Biyarslanov (Republic of Dagestan).
It is symbolic that the victory was achieved in South Korea, the country where Alexander Shlychkov completed an internship in 1990-1991 at one of the world’s leading centers for training taekwondo specialists. This experience undoubtedly contributes to the development of Russian athletes.
Alexander Shlychkov noted: “The long-term experience of training athletes of international level is now used in the development of modern educational programs in the field of practical athletic all-around, focused on training young people and specialists.”
This achievement confirms the high level of training of Russian athletes and serves as an excellent example for the younger generation.
