The Summer of Young Defenders: Two Training Programs for Cascade Students Launched

The beginning of summer in St. Petersburg was marked by the launch of one of the most exciting programs for the younger generation: the VOIN field trip organized by the Kaskad military sports club.

On June 7, the young cadets set off for the picturesque expanses of the Karelian Isthmus, where they will spend 14 days.

The program includes the components of practical athletic all-around (PAM): tactical and fire training, hand-to-hand combat, survival, first aid, laser tag, assault operations, techniques for working with objects using the Golden Triangle method, and practicing basic self-defense techniques.

Just before the trip, the Kaskad club held preparatory training sessions for PAM, which were conducted by Grant Sergeevich Ovsenyan, a martial jiu-jitsu instructor (6th dan), official representative, and current Chairman of the Coaching Committee of the Russian Federation of Practical Athletic Multi-Events (FPAMR).

The club’s cadets received a good foundation before going on summer shifts, where the PAM program will be implemented in the field.

We would like to thank Grant Sergeevich for his contribution to the training of our students, and we wish the Warrior camp a productive and memorable experience on the rocky shores of the Vuoksa River!

In parallel with the WARRIOR program, in the Leningrad region, in the Cosmonaut-2 children’s health camp, from May 30 to June 19, another important shift is taking place – the “Time of the First”. Here, junior cadets receive their first lessons in PAM. Classes are held in an exciting, playful way, which allows children to master the elements of self-defense with great enthusiasm, learn how to fall safely, learn the basics of simulated shooting and develop a team spirit. This is a great opportunity for the youngest to get involved in the world of sports and physical development, and to lay the foundation for future success.

Both programs, VOIN and Time of the First, demonstrate the Kaskad Club’s commitment to the comprehensive development of young people, fostering strong character, responsibility, and readiness for the challenges of the modern world.
